Who We Are
We are a non-denominational Christian church located in Lynchwood neighborhood of SE Portland that gather together as the Family of God to receive, worship, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
Our Statement of Purpose
Our highest privilege is to be a people who strive for Jesus to write His story of love, holiness, and goodness through our daily lives. It is the purpose of every believer to demonstrate the transforming power of Jesus and to share the story of what Jesus has done in their lives with others. We believe that when we humble ourselves and allow Jesus to write His story through us, broken and hurting people will be introduced to the saving power of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the light of the World. We at Lynchwood Church of God seek to share that light, reflecting His light into the darkness. In each person there is a longing for that light and a need to be reconciled to Jesus. We walk with people in their journey and help them let God write their story. Out of love and thankfulness for God's loving gift of eternal life we serve the Lord and all of God's children by:
Joyfully celebrating His healing gifts of forgiveness and eternal life through our church worship and daily living
Prayerfully committing ourselves to personal growth and mutual encouragement through fellowship and regular study of His Word
Purposely caring for the unchurched in word and deed and generously giving ourselves for the building up of God's kingdom
